Professional indemnity isn't just for traditional professions. Any company providing advice, design, specification, certification, inspection, project management or consulting services carries professional liability exposure. This makes retroactive dates, continuity of cover and run-off provisions critically important. A gap in cover or an incorrectly set retroactive date can leave years of past work uninsured.
